While on holiday recently, I needed to prepare meals which didn’t use a lot of ingredients as the kitchen in the holiday cottage wasn’t well stocked with condiments. At the local Sainsbury’s, I bought two salmon fillets from The Saucy Fish Co. as it came with a Chilli Lime and Ginger sauce. I usually make my own sauces because I don’t generally like bottled or pre-made sauces. I was pleasantly surprised by this item! The salmon was delicious – fresh, flaky, flavourful – and the sauce was really good! It was a lot spicier than I am used to (because I’m a bit of a whimp when it comes to chilli), but I loved it. I powered through the hotness and even spread the sauce to my quinoa and kale because I loved the flavour. I bought this a second time during the two week holiday, and liked it even more the second time. This may be a regularly purchased item from now on! It makes cooking dinner a snap.

They also do a ‘bake-in-the-bag’ version of the Salmon Fillets with chilli. Super easy as all you do is pop the bag into the oven and hey presto! Minimal mess and fuss with some pretty decent fish at the end.
